Guide to the Service
There are 2 main bus routes in the valley:
Number 1: Runs along the main road from Les Houches to Flegere and return. Take this bus to get to the Prarion, Bellevue and Flegere lifts or in to town. This bus connects with the Number 2 (below) to continue up the valley at Place du Mont Blanc, Chamonix Centre (behind the Tourist Office) and Chamonix Sud (next to the bowling).
Number 2: Starts at Glacier des Bossons and runs past the hospital and through town, returning from Le Tour. The best place to get on this bus is Place du Mont Blanc in town, or at Flegere to continue up the valley to Les Grands Montets and Balme ski areas. If you are heading to the top of the valley, alight in town for the best chance to get a seat!

Help our Environment
Despite being one of the most beautiful places on earth, Chamonix suffers from high levels of pollution throughout the winter. Our deep valley and high mountains create a temperature inversion, trapping cool air underneath warm and along with it vehicle and fire fumes.
You can help reduce this problem by taking public transport and not using open fires in chalets. We all know fires are lovely in the winter, but breathing bad air is not! Please help us keep Chamonix green!
